Each tree house has it's own hanging style. As designs in tree house building progressed, so do the hanging styles here. The artificial limb, or GL limb is used for the Cottage. The Shiitake is a prototype for hanging off one tree, the posts go all the way through and proved to be better overall for the tree. The Calypso is built on a platform with struts connected to the tree to allow for movement, and Excalifir has a mix of GL limbs, struts, and beams, an amazing engineering adventure.
The infrastructure for the tree houses was a feat in itself. The trenches and trails were hand dug, so the tree roots were disturbed as little as possible. Each tree house has hot and cold water, flushing toilets, and power. A second power service was put in for the business, with an RV power hook up near the service point and cement slab in front of the barn. Also a second septic for the tree house lodging.
The Well provides enough water for the house, landscaping, and tree houses, along with the separate bath house. It has two separate showers, sinks, toilets and washer dryer hookups, for the three tree houses that don’t have a shower, and is located near parking on the end of the long open barn.
All the tree houses are professionally engineered. Fully furnished with extra linens, refrigerators, heaters, fans, hot water heaters, hot water pots, etc. For cost valuation, please fill out our 'Information Request' form on the Contact page.

Vertical Horizons has been in operation since 2004, starting with the Cottage treehouse and then the others followed. The novelty keeps us busy year round. We do nesting packages during the winter, and have hosted weddings and other events. There is so much potential here. And no shortage of free advertisers, we are contacted often by freelancers asking for photos to include in their articles.
All intellectual property, welcome guide pages, signs we've used, all graphic files for Logos and t-shirt designs and any other graphic files will be provided. All intellectual data, the website, various accounts to print brochures, business cards, disc golf maps, and other literature etc. will be transferred over for your use, if you wish.
